About MECC

MECC

The mission of the Mason Early Childhood Center is to educate the whole child within the context of a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment.

The Mason Early Childhood Center serves the district’s preschool, kindergarten, first and second grade students. In early childhood, our focus is on educating the whole child. Our content focuses on the social, emotional, intellectual and physical growth of the individual child—with equal consideration for each of those needs. Students are immersed in engaging academics and encouraged to make choices in their learning, while building strong habits of mind.   Students have many opportunities to develop as creative problem solvers, risk takers, and independent thinkers. They have weekly experiences in physical education, art, music, Dream Lab (innovation) and STEAM Studios (1st and 2nd only).
